Cuprous silk (vegan silk if you like) is made from vegetable fibre (cellulose) blended with viscose. It looks and behaves like silk. The surface sheen is a peach skin.
- It is breathable and static-resistant
- It is smooth and slippy
- It is more affordable than regular silk
This very drapable fabric works well for slinky dresses and elegant tops. The peach skin sheen catches the light for a gentle shine.
Otherwise known as Bemberg Lining it is also great for lining coats, dresses, skirts, etc. due to its silky texture and anti-cling properties.
