Retreat bag Class

Make travels and retreats easy with this great zippered bag.

The Retreat Bag is a simple zippered pouch with a wide base and a structured opening. There is a casing in the top where you insert two wire frames (one on each side), which helps it stay open when open, and helps turn the corners down when closed. Learn:

• sewing a zipper
• sewing boxed corners
• creating the framed opening
• bagging out an item (sewing in a lining)
• making a professional finish

Sewing Level: Beginner. Some basic knowledge of using a sewing machine is required for this class.

Includes: 5 hours of instruction and pattern instructions. Supplies extra.

Instructor: Leah is a local sewist with many interests. She is a trained traditional kiltmaker, quilter, longarmer, costume designer and dressmaker. Her grandmother taught her embroidery and crewel work as a child. She enjoys spending time with her kids at various highland dance and bagpiping events.
