Who wants a me-made dress for summer?

Make a dress that is perfectly you. Choose from our pattern options that feature both simple design and a good fit. Each dress pattern has options for length making them great layering pieces.

Expand your sewing skills with these garments. Learn:

  • cutting a sewing pattern
  • how to make simple adjustments for length & fit
  • sewing in-seam pockets
  • making a neat finish

Here are the pattern options. Please let us know which dress you would like to sew:

  1. Wiksten Dress - a comfortable and elegant dress that works well for many body types. Sizes up to 48" bust, 52" hips.
  2. Farrow Dress - an a-line dress with in-seam pockets and a bit more complexity. Sizes 0-30.

Sewing Level: Beginner to Experienced Beginner - suitable for those with some basic sewing experience who want to try dressmaking or improve their skills. Adults and older youth welcome (please contact us if registering someone under 19 years old).

Includes: 9 hours of instruction and a copy of the pattern. Supplies extra.

NOTE: Please ask us for help to choose the right pattern for your style and skill level. Please purchase and pre-wash your fabrics, and pick-up your pattern prior to class. Also, please cut out your paper pattern before class to allow class time to focus on sewing the dress. If you are not sure of your size please ask for help in preparing for class.

Frequency: Once per week for 3 weeks.

Instructor: Caroline Cheng has been sewing for 21 years and has been working in the film industry since 2016. She has a diploma in both fashion design and costume design. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for sewing with others, and hopes to inspire others to not be afraid of trying it!
