





Learn to Quilt: Disappearing 4-Patch
Want to learn to quilt or need a refresher on the basics?
Learn the Disappearing 4-Patch Block and make a modern mug rug or pot holder in your choice of colours. The class covers all the basics of learning to quilt.
Perfect for beginner quilters or those with some basic sewing machine experience.
This class covers:- cutting fabric accurately with rotary cutter and ruler
- stitching a consistent 1/4" seam
- aligning your seams for a neat finish
- creating a pieced 4-patch pattern
- quilting the three layers "quilt sandwich"
- binding your quilt
Sewing Level: Beginner. Some basic sewing machine experience required. If you haven't used a sewing machine before take an Intro to Sewing class before taking this class.
Includes: 3 hours of instruction and the pattern. Supplies extra.

Instructor: Leah is a local sewist with many interests. She is a trained traditional kiltmaker, quilter, longarmer, costume designer and dressmaker. Her grandmother taught her embroidery and crewel work as a child. She enjoys spending time with her kids at various highland dance and bagpiping events.
