Make a simple, modern quilted mug rug or pot holder in your choice of colours. The class covers all the basics of learning to quilt.

Perfect for newbie quilters, or anyone who has done traditional piecing and quilting and is interested in expanding their skills. Learn: 

  • a new, fast & fun method of piecing and quilting - done at the same time!
  • how to work with purchased bias binding
  • how to finish edges on a curve and make a hanging loop
  • a great scrap buster!

Sewing Level: Beginner. Some basic sewing machine experience required.

Instructor: Leah is a local sewist with many interests. She is a trained traditional kiltmaker, quilter, longarmer, costume designer and dressmaker. Her grandmother taught her embroidery and crewel work as a child. She enjoys spending time with her kids at various highland dance and bagpiping events.
