Ready to take the next step in your garment making? This is a great skill-building class for confident beginner level garment sewing.

A sleek and chic pencil or mini skirt with dreamy details. We will teach you how to neatly insert an invisible zip at the side, and add your choice of pockets. Available in knee-length or mini.

  • Learn how to sew an invisible zipper
  • Learn to sew waist darts, and a gently curved waistband for a great fit
  • Choose mini-length or knee-length hem with back slit
  • Learn how to work with your chosen fabric including seam finishing
  • Choose casual patch pockets or 60s-inspired faux pocket flaps with optional buttons
  • An optional lining is included in the pattern but will require homework if you want to sew with this option

      Sizes: sizes 2 to 30 (up to 61" hip).

      Sewing Level: Confident Beginner. Suitable for students who have already completed a sewing project or two and want to try making a garment with more details.

        Location: 80 Mary Street, Port Moody

        Includes: 7 hours of instruction and a printed pattern with instructions. Supplies extra.

        Instructor: Caroline Cheng has been sewing for 21 years and has been working in the film industry since 2016. She has a diploma in both fashion design and costume design. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for sewing with others, and hopes to inspire others to not be afraid of trying it!
