Phoebe Coat Class

Date:4 October - 25 October (2:00PM - 5:00PM)

Destined to keep you warm on the coldest of days, this coat is a great introduction to sewing tailored garments.

Modern yet timeless, Phoebe is a double-breasted coat with a cocoon shape. Fully lined, it features a dramatic notched collar and lapel that can also be worn closed to stop drafts. The dropped shoulder, roomy two-piece sleeve, and oversized fit make this coat ideal for layering over bulky winter layers.

In this class you will learn:

  • how to construct your coat including in-seam or patch pockets
  • how to sew a classic notched collar and facings
  • lining a coat
  • how to sew two piece sleeves
  • tailored finishing techniques
  • buttonholes for a double-breasted finish
