A simple wrap-around apron pattern that gives extra coverage. This style has been used on many cultures from Japanese to British due to its effective design and ease of use.
Techniques involved include sewing straight seams, adding pockets, hemming turned edges, topstitching, and applying facings.
Fabric: Medium to heavier weight wovens such as cotton, linen or canvas.
Level: Intermediate
Sizes: S/M - M/L. 3 lengths. The pattern is made-to-fit so the apron size will be determined by the length of the straps.
ERRATA 1: Some patterns were printed with the wrong length adjustments on the front piece. The lengthen instruction on the front pattern piece should read - Cut along line and lengthen piece by: Short 23", Medium 25", or Long 27".
ERRATA 2: There was an error in the original test pattern that may have made it into a few patterns in our first print run. If you find that your front facing pattern is narrower than the front apron pattern (along the top edge) please adjust it. Place your front facing paper pattern pieces on top of the front apron piece matching the top outer corners and fill in the centre gap by attaching an extra piece of paper.
