Learn a range of embroidery stitches and techniques with one of our 3 beautiful wool-mix felt embroidery designs handmade by Corinne Lapierre in Yorkshire, England. Choose a trio of toadstools, or a beautiful hummingbird (subject to availability). Learn:

  • how to choose fabrics and threads
  • how to sew a range of different embroidery stitches on your sampler
  • techniques for wool applique
  • creating a good finish

Level: Beginner. This class is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Whether you are new to wool appliqué, or want to expand your embroidery skills, there is something here for you.

Instructor: Leah is a local sewist with many interests. She is a trained traditional kiltmaker, quilter, longarmer, costume designer and dressmaker. Her grandmother taught her embroidery and crewel work as a child. She enjoys spending time with her kids at various highland dance and bagpiping events.
