Intro to Foundation Paper Piecing Class

Learn the basics of foundation paper piecing and build your skills sewing a quintessential teacup block.
Students will learn essential piecing techniques for accurate quilt making in a fun environment from an enthusiastic instructor.
Your block can be turned into a mug rug, wall hanging, placemat, or incorporated into clothing or a larger quilt.
Sewing Level: Beginner. Suitable for students who want to learn a new skill, and have at least basic sewing machine skills.
Location: 80 Mary Street, Port Moody
Includes: 3 hours of instruction and a copy of the pattern. Supplies extra.

Frequency: Once for 3 hours

Instructor: Leah is a local sewist with many interests. She is a trained traditional kiltmaker, quilter, longarmer, costume designer and dressmaker. Her grandmother taught her embroidery and crewel work as a child. She enjoys spending time with her kids at various highland dance and bagpiping events.
Cancellation Policy
Full registration payment is required to reserve your space in a class or event. Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations made more than 10 days in advance of the class or event will receive a full refund to store credit. For cancellations made less than 10 days in advance: A store credit of 50% of the fee will be given if more than 4 days notice, or if 4 days or less notice from the class time is given then no refund or transfer will be issued.
