Sew your own pair of jeans.

Gain the skills to make your own finished pair of well-fitted pants. Depending on your sewing skill and speed you may have some finishing details on your jeans to complete at home or in Sewing Time. Learn:

  • how to measure yourself for jeans
  • adjusting the pattern for the perfect fit
  • working from a complex pattern
  • denim sewing techniques
  • attaching a fitted waistband and zipper fly

Sewing Level: Intermediate to Advanced. Suitable for students who have already completed a few garment sewing projects successfully and want to try something more complex.

Location: 80 Mary Street, Port Moody

Includes: 15 hours of instruction (5 sessions) and a copy of the instructions and pattern. Supplies extra.

Pattern choice: Morgan Jeans (sizes 0-20; up to 39" waist, 48" hip) or Dawn Curve Jeans (sizes 14-30; up to 52" waist, 62" hip).

**Please purchase your supplies prior to class. We recommend that you wash and iron your fabrics prior to class.**

Instructor: Caroline Cheng has been sewing for 21 years and has been working in the film industry since 2016. She has a diploma in both fashion design and costume design. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for sewing with others, and hopes to inspire others to not be afraid of trying it!
