Learn to craft a hand-stitched leather keyring with a stylish design, customised to you!

This class is suitable for beginners, either as an introduction to working with leather, or as a refresher to build your skills. You will see how easy and inexpensive it is to get started with just a few basic tools. Learn:

  • basic shaping of leather
  • hand stitching techniques for function and aesthetics
  • how to use basic leather tools
  • taking a design from paper to leather
  • customizing your piece with leather colour and embellishment

Sewing Level: Intro. Suitable for complete beginners or those curious about learning new skills.

    Location: 80 Mary Street, Port Moody

    Includes: 3 hours of instruction, and all supplies and tools are included.

    Instructor: Alexander Hewitt has been working with leather for 13 years. He's made everything from rugged bags & wallets, to necklaces & carved poetry, all from a small set of tools he's taken around the world, meeting different styles and masters across nearly 60 countries. He loves sharing ideas and adventures with others, and helping them try new things!
