Struggling with sewing stretch fabrics or afraid to try? Learn to make the most of stretch fabrics with a simple pattern. 

This class is suitable as an introduction to sewing with stretch fabrics. Learn:

  • handling knit fabrics
  • working with a pattern for stretch fabrics
  • attaching a binding
  • seam finishes

Sewing Level: Confident Beginner. An easy introduction to sewing with stretch fabrics. Students should be confident in sewing on a sewing machine. Make it more advanced by sewing with a trickier fabric like our Tencel or Merino blend jerseys.

Location: 80 Mary Street, Port Moody

Includes: 5 hours of instruction and the pattern (includes adult and child sizes). Supplies extra.

Frequency: Once per week for 2 weeks.

Instructor: Ana has experience sewing everything from foundational garments to unique special projects like LED costumes and even pet clothing. Sewing is her happy place, learning is her constant companion, and teaching is something she truly cares about. She’s always excited to help someone conquer a new skill or finish a project they’re proud of.

 

Cancellation Policy

Full registration payment is required to reserve your space in a class or event. Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations made more than 10 days in advance of the class or event will receive a full refund to store credit. For cancellations made less than 10 days in advance: A store credit of 50% of the fee will be given if more than 4 days notice, or if 4 days or less notice from the class time is given then no refund or transfer will be issued.
